Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Stephanie Lockhart and I will be your child’s teacher this year. I am very excited about the upcoming school year and I wanted to take some time to introduce myself and tell you a little about my classroom.
I am very excited and grateful to be a teacher on the OEN team. Oasis Elementary North is a wonderful place to work and learn. I was born and raised in Florida. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 20 years and we have three amazing children; Kiley (19), Carson (13), and Abby (7). I have a Bachelors in Science in Elementary Education. This is my seventh year teaching and I could not be more ecstatic that I am teaching kindergarten! Teaching is my passion, and nothing is more rewarding than helping create a love of learning in my students!
I believe that before children can learn, they need to feel safe and loved, and I will always do my best to create that type of a classroom environment. I understand that children learn in many different ways, and I will strive to meet the needs of every student. I will encourage learning through inquiry, hands-on activities, collaboration with classmates, and play! I maintain a structured classroom environment, and I will provide clear expectations to ensure that all students experience success!
